Now let's see what you create using "fall colors"
This card was made by Charlene and wasn't is Dolce Stamps and Cards Store for more than an hour when a customer looked at it and said "I want to make that card".  This customer has a peacock at home and Charlene made this one look just like hers, she had to make one too.

Peacock
Designed by:    Charlene Merrick
Stamps:    Peacock by Impression Obsession
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black , Ranger Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, Stampin’
Up’s Rich Razzleberry
Paper:      Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Black
Embellishments:  Rich Razzleberry polkadotted ribbon,  royal blue micro gemstones
Tools:  Ranger Firefly and Xmas Red Stickles, Polka dotted embossing folder,
Tim Holtz Alerations On the Edge Die, dimensional, Copic markers ,
blendin tool

This beautiful  peacock cling  mount  image  is  all  one  piece of  deeply  etched  rubber.      I like  how Impression Obsession has sectioned it off as a part of the image.  I colored the entire image with
Copic  markers.    After  I  colored  the  spots  on  its  tail  feathers  with  Royal  Blue  and  Salad  Green markers,  I  added  Ranger  Firefly  stickles  over  the  Salad  Green  portion.    Oh,  how  those  pretty, iridescent  spots  sparkle  in  real  life!!    Can  you  see  the  teensy-weensy  royal  blue  gemstones  on the peacock’s head  crest?    I  colored  the  crackled  background  with  Pale  Aqua  and  Aqua  Blue markers and sponged Ranger’s Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on the outer  edge of  the  cardstock.  The framed edges around the image were made with Tim Holtz’s Alerations On the Edge Die.  After  I  dry  embossed  the  Crumb  Cake  panel  with  the  polkadots,  I  ran  my  Rich Razzleberry  ink pad over it to color only the raised portion of the dots.

Tara Williams

Now let's see what you can create, we'd love to have you play along with us:

Title: Up, up & away!
Artist: Tara Williams
Date:
Stamps: Local King 'Hot Air'
Paper: Festive Variety, Orange Fizz, Marigold Felt & Cosmo Cricket 'SaltAir' printed paper
Accessories: Black mini brads, Diamond Glaze, green copper wire for balloon 'strings', Sakura Stardust Pen
Tools: Corner punch, scallop punch, oval punch, 1/16 hole punch for brads andfaux sun

Description: I tried challenging myself for this card. In order to create the rolled corners, I took a ballpoint pen and curled the paper around it and marked the spot for the brad. I then punched the holes (only through the printed paper and not cardstock) and placed the brads. I've only used Diamond Glaze a couple of times and wanted to brighten the faux sun I created with that. I then took a hole punch around the scallop punch for a different sunny look. The most difficult part of the card that took the majority of the time was lining up the tiny, very bendable wires for the strings to the hot air balloon. They bend easily. I would probably use a different product next time :-)

Paper: Basic Grey: Oxford; SU: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Ridinghood Red

You know they are the sounds of a vintage car, and how much fun would it be to have one of these, especially if it was red.... I think these stamps are great in that they have a front and back view, and you can mix up the different images on the one card, like I have done here.... and perfect for the older gents in your life, easy in one colour or two... and the dash of gold from the nailheads adds a bit of vintage to the card as well!

I love to make masculine cards and this Local Rubber King Stamp Mustang set is perfect for masculine cards and projects! I started by stamping the Mustang in Black Soot and embossind it with clear embossing powder. Next I colored it with a blender pen and for a nice shiny finish look I colored over the entire image with a versamarker pen and clear embossed over it. I sponged some Antique Linen framing the horse, leaving some white space for a little pop.
I created my background paper by stamping the leaves from Tree 1 with Versamark for a subtle look. I did some faux stitching and added some Nail Heads in the corners. Finishing it off with a homemade lasso.

Judy - Friendship Sails

Designer: Judy Kreucher " jaydekay"
Date Posted: September 4, 2011
Keywords: DOLCE, Local King Stamps
Category: nature
Stamps: Local King Rubber Stamps “Friendship” (6)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo black
Embellishments: green twine
Tools: Spellbinders label #17, black Zig artist pen, Sizzix embossing folder
3-D Dots, Prisma Colored Pencils, blending stumps
Paper: dp, white, black

First I stamped the two smallest snails to make my own background paper.
I wanted to have lots of little friends for the big guy in the front, so the
theme would match the sentiment. I think it works!
I ran the leaf through a sizzix embossing folder. Any design will work, this adds great
texture and makes the leaves look more real, I also crumpled the ends a bit.
The coloring on the snail is prisma pencils, blended with odorless turpentine, using paper
blending stumps.
I love to finish the edges of the card with either sponging, or a black outline.
This draws your eye to the main focal area of your card.

I stamped my image and embossed it then I cut it out. I then sponged around it with SU Cherry Cobbler ink. I also sponged around the ribbon tag while it was still in the die to give it the crisp vanilla edge. I also gave the DP layer a dusting of Cherry cobbler.
I then colored the image with copic markers and add stickles glitter glue for extra sparkle.
I taped all the layers down with Double sided tape and popped up the tag on foam squares. Last I added nail heads to add more pop. I love these nail heads as they are flat for mailing.

Well it was definitely going to be about "getting away" when I saw this image, I know soooo many people who pack up and head west for a touch of camping, and I wanted to characterise this with a red ute (truck) and a beige caravan this month..... and I added in the obligatory sunshine and blue skies, and a well wish adorned with the totally fabby nailheads, these are such a great addition for a masculine card, and great in the coloured tones, such as these red ones... all around fun really!

Ellen - Spirit of the Wolf

Designer: Ellen Taylor
Date Posted: August 23, 2011
Keywords: DOLCE, Local Rubber King Stamps
Category: Animals, Nature
Stamps: Local Rubber King Stamps: Wolves, Tree 3
Ink: Adirondack Denim and Cloudy Blue, Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Marker, Versamark, Stazon, Dove Gray
Embellishments: Brads
Tools: Heat Tool, Brayer, Silver Embossing Powder, Sponge, EK Success 3D Dots, Spellbinders Circles
Paper: Navy Black, White, Silver Mirror Paper

I love to use my brayer! A quick way to make a card with amazing results! Would you like to know how to make this card? I thought so....I started by brayering Cloudy Blue ink 1/3 of the way down. To create the moon use a Spellbinders circle die cut over the card stock to create a mask. and brayer Denim ink over top of the circle. Remove the circle and stamp the wolf inside the moon in gray. Stamp the trees in black (Twice on the left side and on the right side I just turned the same tree stamp 90 degrees and stamped it.) Stamp the silhouette wolves where you would like the ground to be in black. I didn't here but sometimes I want a taller tree and just extend the trunk with a black marker. This type of inking is very forgiving~you just can't go wrong! Next using a pouncing motion, sponge black ink from the bottom up to cover the feet of the wolves. To create grass just use your black marker and randomly flick upward with a light hand. Emboss the sentiment and pop the 2 top layers up with 3D dots. Add some brads in the corner and you are done. I sure hope you give it a try!

Ink: Stazon Black, Cool Carribean
Embellishments: Mark Richards Nailheads Metal Stickers
Tools: Orange, Blue, Smoky Quartz, and Gold Glitters, modern label punch, embossing folder, sponge dauber
Paper
: Whisper White, Blue Mulberry, Acetate

I tried something new to me with this card: I “colored” the koi fish image with glitter. Using black Stazon ink, I stamped the image onto clear acetate. I flipped it over and applied Glossy Accents and the various colors of glitter. I found it easiest to cut the image before applying the glitter. It sparkles so pretty in real life. I embossed the blue mulberry paper with a bubbles embossing folder.

Tools: Bone Folder, heat gun, detail scissors, Big Shot, 3D Foam Squares, Tombow tape runner
Paper: The Paper Cut Festive Variety Pack: Blu Raspberry, cloud background DP, basic white, pink gingham DP

This was a fun and simple card to make. Each balloon is cut out with detail scissors. The pink gingham balloon is popped up with 3D foam squares to give it dimension. I've never had any hot air balloon stamps, so I was happy to make a card that featured them. About 10 miles from where I live you can see them setting off into the sky every now and then. It is quite a sight!

Judy - Sunset Frog

Designer: Judy Kreucher "jaydekay"

Stamps: Local King Rubber Stamps “Friendship” (6)
Ink: Memento black
Embellishments: natural jute twine, buttons
Tools: Spellbinders wonky rectangles, black millennium Zig artist pen, Prisma Color Pencils
Martha Stewart border punch, Sizzix starburst embossing folder, blending stumps
Paper: The Paper Cut Festive Variety Pack Orange Fizz & Sour Apple, black, yellow, dp

I have to admit that I did an online search to see how differently frogs can be colored..
I didn't just want an all green one. So, this is what I came up with.
The leaves have been embossed for texture... what fun.. cause it doesn't really
matter what embossing folder you use.. any texture would look great, then I
crinkled them a bit on the ends.
I use prisma pencils for coloring and blend with an odorless turpentine using
paper stubbies.
I thought the starburst was the perfect hint of Sunset look..
Hope you Check out Dolce Stamps and Cards Store for more great
Local King Stamps, you will love them.

1/2'' circle punch
Paper: The Paper Cut Earth Variety Pack Tuscan Sun, Hot Fudge & Jellybean Green, SU:burgundy, vanilla, Yellow: Bo Bunny

I love Sunflowers. My dining room is full of them!
I wanted to try a different look and to use the beautiful Local King Rubber Stamp in a different way. I left the card stock in the die and sponged Mushroom ink everywhere except the middle. Then I stamped the Sunflower stamp from (Local King Rubber) in a dark green in the center. I love how it turned out.
I then embossed the pumpkin layer and added it to the green card stock base. I topped it with copper ribbon and added the labels to the top. The brown layer label is up on foam tape. I then sponged and added the flower and leaves along the side and finished it off with copper Nail heads.
I really think that the 5 x 5 format fits the label 14 very well – I really love the way theis card turned out.

Tools: Spellbinders: Fancy Tags Two, Nestabilities--Circles Sm & Lg; 3D Dots, Just Rite 3 1/4” dia wooden stamper
Paper: My Mind's Eye: Stella & Rose--Hazel; XPressIt: Blending Card

I always look at JR Stamps and think how lovely they are all ready to be used in a set, image inside circle... but with this card I wanted to use the circle a little independently of the image, so I went with a 3D version of the flower, which is off-set by the circle border, this allowed me to use the stamps as the focal point of the card, but stretch them across the vertical plain of space... I liked this and it allowed me to include one of the fabby little JR sentiments too!
